The name says bitter but this is far from what those old boring English people considered bitter. We are American and by our standards, this one is perfectly balanced. Not hoppy, not sweet. Just... well... beer? A crowd pleaser, sure, but a beer drinker’s delight.

Draft. Nutty toffee malt and straw aroma. Amber with moderate head. Moderately sweet toffee malt and moderately bitter quinine/hay flavor. Good body. Tasty.

Draft - Light grains and caramel. Clearish copper with a decent beige head. Light bitter and caramel.

Tap at North High. Fruity UK yeast. Piny resinous hops. Kind of weird. Not really a good US or UK example, but manages to capture facets of both. Not that impressive. Dry finish. A touch bold for the stye.

Sample at the tap room. The beer is a clear orange-amber color with a medium creamy off-white head that diminishes slowly to a wispy film. Sheets of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of earthy malt, toffee and hops. The finish is malty up front with a mild hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
