Tipopils is an “archetypal” beer: it embodies and corresponds to the idea of light beer settled in our DNA over many centuries. Produced by infusion with Caramunich- and Pilsner-type barley malts, brewed with a popular German bottom-fermenting yeast. German bittering and aromatic hops used both in warm and cold hopping (dry hopping). It is coarsely filtered to remove some of the yeast.

0.3 on tap at Hops Beerstrò, Trieste. Pours golden yellow with snow white head that lingers, nice lacing. Body medium carbonated. Malty aroma with a hint of hops. Sweet honey taste with nice bitter finish. Very good pils.

(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of white bread, hay, clover flowers and corn. Malty taste with bread, biscuits, flowers, herbs, citrus and a gentle herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Soft, clean and crisp. Smooth and well balanced pilsener. Very nice.

Tap at Pohjala taproom. Rather thin body, medium carbonation. Not the cleanest and definitely not a top50 of any style. Medium bitterness, light grainy astringency, low sweetness. Neutral, but slightly estery appley, and yeasty. Average at best.

11.2 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden with a medium white head with long retention. Nose is fresh, with plenty of straw, gentle grassy hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is quite crisp, with plenty of bitter grassy hops, very crisp biscuity malt, and straw. Fairly bright, but not the hoppiest of pilsners out there (maybe due to age? This seems fresh though). Crisp, straw-like, biscuity finish. Certainly good, but I don't get the praise based on this one experience.

a little bit sweet grassy very smooth and well balanced pilsener aroma. Flavor is very good and crips pilsener with a good balance between the slightly sweet malty notes and the crisp bitterness.
