(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 17 Nov 2021) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, nuts, milky coffee and caramel. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, pecan nuts, vanilla, a touch of cinnamon and a balanced cacao bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Smooth and rounded mouthfeel. Really tasty with lots of chocolate and nuts. Great beer.

650ml bottle. Jet black colour with minimally late awakening, small, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and spicy aroma, notes of cinnamon, ginger, aniseed, nutmeg, allspice, hints of roasted nuts. Taste is sweet and spicy, chocolately and slightly roasty, dark malty, notes of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, aniseed, black pepper, some vanilla, some treacle, roasted nuts; peppery spicy finish with hints of cardamom and pepper. Viscous texture, smooth, soft, silky, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft, sufficiently efficacious carbonation.

Label clearly says 10 ABV so correction sent in. Bomber from Tavour via my daughter. Nose is maple, pecans, vanilla, chocolate, and bourbon. Black with a medium lightly lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is sweet smores with maple syrup in the chocolate and bourbon in the marshmallows.

Keg at Hop Locker. Sweet sugary Christmassy coffee aroma. Dark and glossy. Thin beige head. Light bitter with fruit, spice and booze. The booze follows through. The spices bring gingerbread to mind. Thick bodied. Creamy with a chalky residue. Long warming boozy finish. It's decent. Warming. But just doesn't quite hit the spot. Did not get pecan.

Great stout, sweet and indulgent without growing cloy or overbearing, mixing chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg, anise, caramel, and dark fruit with a warm, spicy back end and a nutty, slightly bitter fade. Tasty as hell.
