Our first anniversary recipe returns with a touch of added smokiness to page homage to the great (fictitious) tap room fire of internet lore. Peat reminiscent of a Scottish whiskey in a rich and robust porter with subtle notes of coffee roast and dark chocolate.

16 ounce can. Barely translucent dark brown color topped by a large frothy tan head. Roasted malt aroma has a hint of chocolate and smoke. Flavor is roasted malt, charred wood, licorice and dark chocolate. Nicely complex. The smokiness is just right, as is the sweetness. Overall a very tasty brew.
