Can thanks to Neemo. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong maple, spice, cocoa, roast. Thin body, roast, milk chocolate, maple, light finish, very good.

On tap at Voodoo Homestead. Black with medium beige head. Aroma is nice coffee, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty nice lacing. Taste is coffee and dark malt.

On tap at hollywood. Looks like coffee smells like coffee. Black coffee bitterness. Simply a black bitter coffee beer. Possibly way too much black coffee feel to this. What else can be said? Not really sure if this should be in the sweet stout style category with it’s overwhelming coffee attitude. When I think of sweet stout, I think of mostly pure easy going sweet stout, after all, that’s what the style says.

Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a black color with a small soapy beige head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was cocoa powder, coffee, faint cola and anise. The flavor was cocoa, vanilla, marshmallow, a bit of roasty malts and touches of anise, cola and coffee. Long cocoa, coffee, roasty malt and vanilla finish. Moderately full bodied. Very nice and exceptionally flavorful for such a low alcohol brew.
