Belgian-Style Ale Fermented with Pure Raspberries
Blushing Monk is brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberries and with a Belgian yeast strain that keeps our head cellar operator from sleeping for a week. It pours a stunning deep berry red and, at 9.2% ABV, has a surprising kick. The perfect dessert beer, it can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fresh cheeses, fruit, cakes and more.

Bottle - Lots of raspberry juice. Cleanish red copper with a small beige head. Raspberry, seedy jam and a sweet finish. A bit too much raspberry for me.

Flaska från SB, årgång 2015. Smak och doft av intensiv söt hallondoft. Stor söt kropp där hallonsmaken verkligen dominerar. Relativt söt och bör drickas väl avkyld, toner av körsbärskärnor. Riktigt gott i sommarsolen.

Flaska från SB, 2015 versionen. Klar, outspädd hallonsaftsfärg, lågt skum. Intensiv söt hallondoft. Stor söt kropp där hallonsmaken verkilgen glänser och dominerar. Relativt söt och bör drickas riktigt välkyld. Vit sirap, mandel, lätt beska med smak av hallon- och körsbärskärnor. Riktigt gott i sommarsolen.

Bottle thanks to the wingman. Aroma is sweet syrupy raspberry jam, woody pips. Flavour is raspberry jam, honey, earthy woody pips. Palate is sticky sweet, moderate carbonation, syrup. Cough syrup.

Bottle thanks to Wingman. It pours bright red with a small white head. The nose is sweet, sticky, syrupy big candied cherry & raspberry, icing sugar and light tang. The taste is sweet-sour, tangy, raspberry candy, sugared fruits, cherry drops, light alcohol and candy cane with a sweetish finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Too sweet and too much candy for me. Boosty alcopop.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’s place. 2015 bottle. Nice red color. Pleasant raspberries aroma, a bit candy-ish. Sweet flavor with a tart note, lots of jammy raspberries, a bit candy-ish, and a slightly bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Draught at KØ15. Raspberry aroma, slightly medicinal. Almost clear deep red colour. Small white or pink head. The flavour is sweet and caramelly. Has a lot of caramelly raspberry. Medicinal flavour puts me off.
