Belgian-Style Ale Fermented with Pure Raspberries

Blushing Monk is brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberries and with a Belgian yeast strain that keeps our head cellar operator from sleeping for a week. It pours a stunning deep berry red and, at 9.2% ABV, has a surprising kick. The perfect dessert beer, it can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fresh cheeses, fruit, cakes and more.

Draught at KØ15. Raspberry aroma, slightly medicinal. Almost clear deep red colour. Small white or pink head. The flavour is sweet and caramelly. Has a lot of caramelly raspberry. Medicinal flavour puts me off.

Draft. A dark red beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of red berries. The flavor is very sweet with notes of over ripe red berries, wood, and alcohol, leading to a slightly tart finish.

Draught, KØ15. Pours nearly clear ruby with small white pinkish head. Clear aroma of berries, with malty notes and estery touches. Sweetish and sourish flavour of berries, with malty notes and subtle, hoppy touches. Vinous afteraste wit sweetish hints. A very good fruit beer.

Bottle. (thanks SirLimpsalot) Slightly hazy reddish with a medium white head. Really sweet with mostly raspberries and jam both in the aroma and taste. The tartness was on the light side. More like a soda but still fairly drinkable.
