Belgian-Style Ale Fermented with Pure Raspberries
Blushing Monk is brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberries and with a Belgian yeast strain that keeps our head cellar operator from sleeping for a week. It pours a stunning deep berry red and, at 9.2% ABV, has a surprising kick. The perfect dessert beer, it can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fresh cheeses, fruit, cakes and more.

as founders blushing monk 2015. clear red to amber, small light red head. strong aroma of fresh red berries, raspberries, very slightly jam like, but like a very good delicate not-sweet raspberry jam. Flavor is raspberries, faint malt, faint fruit peel, very fruity, quite tasty. Alc. is almost too much, but the fruit manages to take it without the beer getting cloying, but it is a close call. One of the best non-sour fruit beers i have had ( donβt fancy them much, they get too sweet and cloying)

Bottle, bought with Morse, in the the States. A marriage of sweeteners ontop of the raspberry doesn't work for me. Alcohol is prominent too.

750 ml bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. 2015 edition. Clear dark reddish with 1-2 fingers of off-white head. Aromas of raspberries, fruit syrup, light booze and yeast. Loads of raspberries in the taste along with spices, light booze, very slight yeasty character. Medium body with a crisp dry finish. Bit of a yeasty/champagne like aftertaste. Very fruit forward.

On tap at Harryβs Hofbrau. The second time I have had this and now it was a full pour. I loved this beer the first time with a sampler size, but it faded a little in a 10 oz. pour. Sour and tart, the fruit displays nicely. Light cherry red and clear with an off white head that is quickly gone.
