Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch nach getrockneten Früchten, Hefe, Karamell. Geschmack hefig, Karamell, Früchte, leicht gewürzig.

Bottle. Pours hazy dark copper brown with airy but stable light tan head. Clear aroma of caramel malt, coffee and fruit. Sweetish flavour of caramel, malt and fruit, with pleasant, bitter notes of coffee beans and hops, ending rather dry and rough. Discernible alcohol presence. Nice. Neither too sweet nor sour. A decent Dubbel, that’s it.

Hazy mahogany with small tan head. Looks great! Caramel, dried fruits, some citrus, cocoa beans and a hint of spices. Medium sweet with big cocoa bitterness. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, long slightly bitter finish. Hmm, not bad at all, like how it has the classic dubbel taste but is not too sweet.

This style is usually not very special, but considering this, it’s a good beer. Malty and spicey.

Thanks bierkoning! Hazy ruby color, steady beige head. Toffeish, vegetably grassy aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramel, sweetness, some alcohol, late grassy bitterness. Simple and sweet.

Tap at the brewery 30/8/13. Aroma is rich malt, raisin, grainstore. Hazed brown colour with a steadfast, light cream head. Flavour is smooth and malty raisin cake, and bread. Finish is earthy, semi-sweet. Very nice.

Bottle from the brewery. Poured a hazy murky brown colour with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma is yeast and roasted malt. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with liqourice, malt, yeast and a little red-berry fruitiness on the smooth and refreshing palate. This is almost up there with Westmalle for me. Not quite, but not so far away.

Bottle@Voldby Ølmesse. Dark Brown pour with an off-white head. Caramel malts, dark dried fruits, some choc. Nice sweet start with a good bitter finish. Great drop this. (D15)

brown colour, moderate brownish head; aroma of malts with honey, yeast and dried fruits; taste of malty sweetness with some honey, roasted bitterness, spices and alcoholic warmth; not bad, bud far from the best dubbels

Very dark brown. Aroma is malty and a bit fruity. Flavour has light sweetness and a bit of a nutty taste. Some caramel comes through too. Aftertaste is pleasantly dry.
