Milk stout is in Groot Brittanië een veel gedronken bier maar in Nederland nog onbekend. Het bier is vol en moutig van smaak maar is daarnaast qua alcohol het lichtste bier van onze brouwerij. Om het bier zoet te krijgen wordt er gebruik gemaakt melksuiker.
Milk stout is in a widely drunk beer in Great Britain, but it remains unknown in the Netherlands. This beer is full and malty in flavour, and also happens to have the lowest alcohol percentage of all the beers from our brewery. Milk sugar (lactose) is used to give this beer its distinct sweetness.

(bottle, 33cl) Almost black coloured hue with a brownish and short foamy head. Mildly roasted malty aroma with hints of milk sugar and a touch of chocolate, leather and liquorice. Sweet and delicately roasty bitter flavour, light bodied but not watery mouthfeel with a modest carbonation. Slightly sugary and roasty dark malt character with notes of caramel, chocolate and shy traces of mocha; finishes less sweet than expected with a mildly roasty bitter touch and notes of chocolate in the aftertaste. Not an overly enhanced but quite likeable Milk Stout. 22.V.14

Thanks bierkoning! Dark opaque brown color, steady small brownish head. Caramel, licorice, cough syrup and light tartness in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Flavor is very similar to aroma: lightly toasted but dominated by caramel and cough syrup. No lactose, more like light tartness. Simple - probably was better fresh on tap.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkles fast schwarzes Bier mit schöner cremigen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmalzig, süß schokoladig, Kaffee. Geschmack süß schokoladig, Kaffee, leicht bitter röstmalzig.

Bardzo dobre i chyba jedno z lepszych Milk Stoutow jakie pilem. Wspaniale odfermentowanie, nagazowanie i ta gigantyczna brazowa piana. Piwo jest czarno brazowe, niesamowicie geste, wytrawny i dlugi finisz, ktory pozostaje na dlogo w ustach, slodkie jest tylko na poczatku. Spora palonosc. Ciekawa butelka ktora nie ma etykiety a tylko metke na gomce recepturce. Goraco polecam.

Sampled from bottle @ monthly De Molen tasting. Pitch black color, medium sized light brown head. Smell and taste malts, lightly roasty, slightly sweet. A touch of bitter in the finish. Average body and carbonation.

fles uiut Joure, zonder etiket, met label aan elastiekje ;) zwart met bruine kraag aroma van mout, chocolade, gebrande mouten smaken zijn matig zoet, redelijk bitter, sterk, redelijk gemout (geroosterde-, gebrande- en caramouten), hout, melkchocolade medium body, dun en hoge co2 de 1e indruk was goed, lekkere geroosterde/gebrande mouten, met licht mondgevoel. goede smaken

Bottle. More or less black in the glass, with a dense, light tan head. The aroma has dark chocolate, some coffee and a roasted note. It’s full bodied and soft on the palate, with coffee, dark chocolate and nougat. Long, roasted finish. Some hints of cooked vegetables. Quite pleasant, although a bit one dimensional. 130906
