Draft at Lemon Tree, Downers Grove. The server was nice enough to offer me a sample as I was enjoying a Ja-vah. And I couldn’t guess what style it was. No BJCP for you! I do know it’s almost orange colored and rather hazy. Thin head with some cling to it. Taste shows some earthy British hops to it. A little bit of caramel malt toast, otherwise pretty light. Good solid beer texture.

Tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours a nice clear deep orange body with a creamy dense longlasting off-white head. Aroma is light malty and fruity with notes of ripe melon and thin citrus. Medium bodied, has an oily texture and is average carbonated. Tastes nice and mildly bitter with thin caramel, a mildly malty base and notes of fruits, and has a mild and hopy finish. Light and really easy to drink. Undoubtfully a nice thirst quencher.

On tap @Patricks. Slightly hazy amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is mild malty, caramel and fruity. Flavor is malt, caramel, fruity and feels relatively bitter (only 27IBU?). Medium body. A nice and easy session ale.

On tap at Schouskjelleren, 350ml, 5% ABV, shared with KnutAlbert. Slightly cloudy, amber body. Fragile lacing. Aroma of fresh and dried fruits. Dried fruits, grainy malts and a touch of pumpkin to the taste buds. Medium bodied. Likable (Oslo, 01.04.2011).

I was apparently very unforgiving when I previously rated this - can’t understand my low marks. Definitely deserves a re-rate and a much better score. Previous rating on 15/03/11 6+3+6+4+12 = 3.1 Pours a bright, amber ale but no head retention. The nose has gentle pale malt and honey aromas. The taste is of raisins, cake mixture, breakfast cereal, grapes and stalks. The palate has medium structure, good texture and a sharp finish. Overall, this is a very pleasant and balanced ale.

Bottle @ Hotelroom, Denver. Pours dark golden copper with a white head. Aroma is malt, some floral and citruslik hops. Taste is citusslike hops , bread and caramel malt. Medium body, soft carbonation. Decent. 080311
