Our original flagship, Sawtooth Amber Ale, continues to stand the test of time. Enjoying a pint is like playing your favorite classic album. Nostalgic, influential and a journey to be enjoyed from beginning to end. Malty chewiness slowly transitions over to herbal, earthy hops that make way for the crisp, dry finish of this multi-award-winning ale.

Tap at Kalahana. Malty, caramel, light hoppiness, light citrus, biscuity. Nice enough but low on interest. Not much aroma at all.

Bottle. Red chestnut, low head. Light sugary roast, caramel and berries, aromatic pine and flowery hops. Medium body, dry, mellow sparky, caramel apples, sweet but well balanced by a nice, not overdone hop blanket. Pleasant.

Bottle best by November 22nd.
Pours a clear copper with a 1" head of foam.
Smells of citrus hops and grainy malt, with some caramel.
Grainy taste, nice bit of bitter hops that’s kinda fruity. Finish doesn’t appeal to me. Sorta bitter but then it fades and gets all watery.
Not much of an END in my book. More like an average Amber.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out bready malt, a touch of toasted caramel and light hop resins. Flavour is very restrained, with subtle notes of resinous hops and toasted malt. Solid balance, just missing oomph.

Pours a nice clear copper from a bottle, quickly dissipating slightly off-white head. Aroma of caramel and whole wheat cracker. Flavor is surprisingly hoppy given the aroma. A little watery. Okay beer.
