Bottle: Fruity-malty nose, floral hops in the second row, deep amber coloured, white lacy head; almost solid dry bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; even drier and hoppier finish with an "english" character. Good session brew.......

(bottle) Hazy, deep golden colour with a short off-white foamy head. Toasty malty aroma with nutty notes, toffee and a touch of herbal and woody hops. Bitter and delicately sweet flavour, light to almost medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Hearty toffee-ish malty taste with an elegant hops character; dry and bitter hoppy, also slightly woody finish with a good length. 31.X.11

50cl bottle. Pours amber with steady gentle bubbles and a decent head, some of which hangs around. The nose has toffee and the faintest hint of nettley herbs. The taste is a bit more full on with honey and a big nettles note. The palate has a medium structure and texture with a nice bitter finish (though there is a malt note that persists longer than I want it to). Overall, this is a good beer.

Gravity cask at the alma. Dark gold pour with a soft white head. Rich toast character, lightly sweet, almost some cocoa, bitter toffee. Medium. Odied with fine carbonation. Almost roasty, very toasty, faintly sweaty. Pretty nice.

Pours amber with a small lasting head.Nose shows lots of malt with toffee, caramel and toast characters at the forefront. Somewhat one-dimensional after the initial burst however.More malt as flavours before a mettallic bitterness flows in.Nice moderately high carbonation works well.

Bottle, 10C. Hazy gold with a good coat of white head. Aroma of flowers, lemon, peach, white pepper. Low carbonation. Tastes alive. Taste has light floral honey with fruity and spicy bitterness. Long bitter finish. Hoppy but well-balanced. Very nice.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, Lonodn on 15th November 2010. Copper with thin white ring of foam round the edge. Yeasty aroma. Quite sweet and fruity in-mouth, berry and citric fruit notes. Grapefruit finish, shorter in duration than expected. Light mouthfeel. A good quench, a little over session strength.
