Zwart bier met weinig shcuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en heel licht zoet met iets van koffie en lichte rooksmaak. Blijft redelijk lang hangen.

Bottle from St Albans beer shop, St Albans, Herts. A deep dark brown coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Roasty, malty, caramel, coffee aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, caramel, coffee, slightly bitter. Pretty tasty porter for its relatively low strength.

Vörösbe hajló fekete szín, kicsi, gyorsan elillanó bézs hab. Illata pörkölt maláta és kávé keveréke. Íze pörkölt kávé, kissé savanyú, a háttérben érezni a komló keserűjét is. Közepesen testes, kávés, komlós utóízzel rendelkező nedű.

330 ml bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a huge, creamy tan head. Lovely aroma of dark malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is medium sweet, dark, roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, some dry fruit and balanced bitterness. Medium body and smooth aftertaste. Well stored and nice porter.

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a mostly dark brown color with a thin off white to tan thin head. Messy lacing.
The smell takes on a moderately thin roasty coffee bean to sweet dark fruity blend running into some milk chocolate.
The taste was semi-sweet with the roastiness blending nicely to balance. Delicate aftertaste of the sweet milk chocolate to dark fruits. Dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation runs about a medium. Bitterness seems to be hidden a bit because of the carbonation. Still, it really moves nice and smooth on my tongue.
Overall, as an English Porter - all of the aromas and flavors match. The feel is good too. I would definitely have again.
