  Stout - Imperial Regular

Our Imperial Reserve aged in bourbon barrels for 13 months, refermented on Vermont maple syrup, and finished on Rêve coffee. Rich, heavy malts produce a thicc body with complex chocolate, tobacco, and roasted notes. The bourbon hits hard with intense vanilla and “heat,” while the coffee and maple assault the nose before allowing the drinker to savor the underlying malt complexity.

Pours black, small tanned head. Scent is full, maple forward, but not compared to the KBBS I had besides. On it's own, I'd still call this very intense, though I expect more of a beer calling out Maple so specifically in it's name. Taste is full, sweet, loads of sugar. Sweet, simple maple. Lovely, but not at all complex. Mild coffee tones. Lovely maple character, but not much beyond.

Sample during the It's Beignet while, so Parrish the Thought of Deserting Oil of Us for this Road Trip Tasting on 06/26/2021. 2020 bottle. The beer pours black with some brown around the edges, and a medium thin tan head that recedes steadily to a dense film. Patches of lace. Aroma of bourbon, malt, coffee and maple. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, chocolate malt, coffee and sweet maple. The finish is sweet with a maple and malt aftertaste. Good beer overall.

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong maple syrup, vanilla, oak, brownie, bourbon. Slick body, similar flavors to nose, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.
