Pour is a black as black can be with a large tan head. Aroma is bitter bakers chocolate with espresso and an overall nice roast. Flavor is again a bitter bakers chocolate with some vanilla and roasted malt. Not a huge coffee but this is thick as hell. This is like drinking liquid fudge. No alcohol is felt making this dangerous. This is a filthy, in a good way, over the top thick Impy stout. I just wish the coffee was there more but it is a minor complaint.

Got in a BIF from jdell15. 12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 6/6/2017. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger fairly dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, toffee, cream, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of huge nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, toffee, cream, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of molasses, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal hop and roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, toffee, toasted dark/brown bread, light smoke/dark fruit, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is fantastic. Slightly sticky, chalky, and drying. Alcohol is very well hidden; a very mild warmth of 10.5% lingering after the finish. Overall this is an amazing imperial coffee stout! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV. Absolutely enormous on nutty/fruity coffee complexity, with awesome rich base stout complexity. Feels like there is lactose in this as well. A highly enjoyable offering.

Draft at the source. Pours almost black with a tan head. Aroma and taste of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate notes. Nice.
