With a palate that is fresh, piercing and focused, complemented by soft malt overtones and pronounced citrus flavours. A strong focus of taut, lemony, grapefruit on the finish which is balanced by a dry bitterness.

JDW Fest. Slightly hazy pale gold beer, residual white head. Light palate. Light carbonation. Nice fresh hop - again just a light prescence. Mild citrus. Semi dry finish. Refreshing tasty beer, could session this.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Amber with a tight white head; zesty grapefruit aroma; crisp with a sweet grapefruit flavour and a creamy, grainy body; lightly bitter grapefruit finish with fresh leafy hops. A really good, citrusy, golden ale.

Cask at Victoria station Wetherspoons, London. A golden coloured pour with a smallish white head. Hoppy, grassy aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus fruit, slight bitterness. An easy drinking ale that would be nice in a country pub garden.

On gravity at the Portcullis Hopfest, Bristol 10/10/10. Deep gold with a slight white head. Like others, I found this beer had plenty of fresh, green herbal hoppiness, with some balancing sweet malts, and fruity, dry finish. Very good.

Cask (Gravity) at Chris Sandy’s party, Charlton-on-Otmoor 04-07-09 I like being asked to get the beers for this part as I’m always able to source something that I’ve never ahd and hopefully one which I’m going to like, we had this and Dask Star Best Bitter. Pours gold with a sprinkling of white bubbles. Hoppy aroma also quite floral. Taste is hoppy and maybe a touch sweeter than expected, but a nice beer that went rather too swiftly. [26/4/2008 - score 8/3/8/4/14 (3.7)] Cask at the North Wiltshire Beer Festival]. Very floral, with a leafy taste that for some reason made me think of ivy. Unusual, refreshing and very enjoyable. [8/9/2015 re-rate - score 8/4/8/4/17 (4.1)] Vivid clear gold with a moderate white head. strongly floral up front with refreshing lemon following through. Good rich mouthfeel, great balance of sweet, rich, dry and bitter. Incredibly refreshing and moreish. A sensational golden ale! Score entered is the average of all ratings.

Cask gravity at Battersea BF 08. Pale gold, lasting off white head. Nettle, banana, peach and something else I can’t place. Really aromatic. Decent condition in the mouth. Real rose petal/banana on end, bit oxydised. Flavoursome though.
