Hoppy Belgian-Style Ale
Mischief is a hoppy Belgian-style golden strong ale. This wickedly good golden ale is fiendishly dry-hopped with American hops to add a layer of complexity and mystery to its fruity, dry Belgian-style character. Citrus and resin diabolically combine with ripe melon, pear and slight peppery spice in a precariously effervescent mixture. Enjoy it, but you’ll want to keep an eye out.

Bottle - thanks Chuck! Pours cloudy light amber gold with a large white creamy head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast plus fruit, citrus, malts and pine. Hop presence muted in the nose; perhaps a little old? Flavor is the same plus notes of lemon. Lightly sweet and lightly tart, carbonation is high, finish is lightly citric bitter.

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy golden color ale with a huge white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of light sweet Belgian malt with some notes of dry hops with light fruity undertones. Taste is also a mix between some lightly sweet Belgian malt with dry hops notes and light fruity undertones. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Good but I was expecting more of dry hops notes based on the description.

A hazed golden ale with a superthick lacing off white head. In aroma, a sweet orange pulp malt with coriander, berry notes, light funk. In mouth, a nice smooth fruity malt with light acidic notes, nice and smooth. Tasted with GRM, Probstblueribbon and Ian, July 20 2012.

Huge, lightly yellowish head, very stable over hazed dark yellow to orangeish beer; good shards of lace. Mild but aromatic C-hops, bit milky. Lactic, just slightly acidic flavour - again milky, (someone says panacotta ). With a little hint at malty sweetness, this is very balanced. Slick, medium to well-bodied, slightly chewy impression. Hides its alcohol very well. Impressive balance.

Bottled. Nice lemony hop nose, Belgian yeast. Solid hoppy Belgian nose. Clear, golden, effervescent with a tall head. Very crisp and hoppy. Lemony, bready, very tasty. Crisp, prickly body. Excellent, much better than the tap. Draught at the Bruery, 2012. 8/3/7/3/14 Nice hoppy nose--grass, catpiss, citrus. Interesting. Somewhat thin body, a light tripel with nice hopping. Lemon and grass with a bitter, hot finish.

Bottle. Hazy dark yellow/orange with big off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, yeast, hops and citrus. Flavour is malt, fruit, yeast, hops, citrus, dry, medium bitter, little sweet, high carbonation, little orange peel, little brett and spices.

750ml bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours a clear dark gold with a whole lot of fizzy white head. Aroma of spices and wheat with just a hint of floral hops. Taste is light sweet and light sour. Spices, green apples, pine hops, banana and doughy yeast. A little warmth from the alcohol at the end. Light bodied with a thin yet somewhat sticky texture. Fizzy carbonation and a long finish. Overall, great! I would love to drink this guy again.

Hazy amber beer. Soft fluffy white head. Semi dry palate. A little soft. A little bit different, comes over like a saison/golden ale hybrid with a little IPA thrown in! Saison sweet malt and hoppy start with a dash of spice. Then golden ale style light malt with a little honey. Hoppy orange fruits. A little creamy malt in the semi dry finish. Odd but full of flavour.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a big white head. Aroma of brett-like yeast, dry hops and some light citrus peel. Flavour is incredibly brett-like, wonderfully so, very yeasty, with some dry hops, and dry citrus peel. Incredibly smooth and bretty - awesome B.S.A.
