Hoppy Belgian-Style Ale
Mischief is a hoppy Belgian-style golden strong ale. This wickedly good golden ale is fiendishly dry-hopped with American hops to add a layer of complexity and mystery to its fruity, dry Belgian-style character. Citrus and resin diabolically combine with ripe melon, pear and slight peppery spice in a precariously effervescent mixture. Enjoy it, but you’ll want to keep an eye out.

0.75l bottle shared with the Tasting Crew. A yellow-golden one with a big lacing white head. On the aroma it's almost spicy-peppery with lot's of Belgian yeast, some banana, green strawberries, citrus, grapefruit and some mild alcohol. Nice. The flavor has a hint of acidity, yeast, flowers, acidic green apple zest all wrapped up in a oily texture with a average carbonation level. Ends light mouthdrying with some tones of grapefruit, zest and raw white alcohol in the finish. Not bad at all. 27.07.2012

750ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Spicy, yeasty aroma. Taste is minimally fruity with a tart touch, bitter hoppy overtones, spicy yeasty notes, hints of alcohol; fizzy carbonation. Not outstanding.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines: Hazy amber pour, thin white head, grassy taste slight hop, but not hoppy IBU’s about balanced with the malts. Good start to a beer tasting evening.

Dark orange golden appearance. Huge head. Smells of honey and spices. Some caramel and bitter hops. Taste is sweet and bitter. Loads of candy like qualities. Cities honey and apples. Medium body. Very bubbly champagne like mouth feel.

Location: Bottle shared w/ jcos, and dbarnold, 10/21/12
Aroma: The nose is quite lemony, with some wheat/yeast, other fruity notes, and spice
Appearance: It pours a hazed yellow-gold color with a white head
Flavor: The taste is yeasty, with lots of lemon, medium sweet, and some lighter balancing bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a nice, crisp feel, and a fairly dry finish on the tongue
Overall Impression: I thought this one was really solid. It was really a quality Belgian Ale, and there is enough of a hop presence for some decent balance. Really quality stuff.

Sampled from bottle @ monthly De Molen tasting. A bit hazy yellow color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell malts, a bit sweetish and herbs or spices. Taste malts, sweetness, herbs or spices. Not really my thing and above all too much carbonation, low to medium body.
