Hoppy Belgian-Style Ale

Mischief is a hoppy Belgian-style golden strong ale. This wickedly good golden ale is fiendishly dry-hopped with American hops to add a layer of complexity and mystery to its fruity, dry Belgian-style character. Citrus and resin diabolically combine with ripe melon, pear and slight peppery spice in a precariously effervescent mixture. Enjoy it, but you’ll want to keep an eye out.

Bottle, 75cl. It pours a big, off-white head leaving lacings over a more or less clear, golden body. Lovely fruity aroma with some white sugar and alcohol. Some pale malts, a touch of spices too. Quite effervescent, full-bodied and dry, with some faint warmth. Pleasant spiced flavor with a spiced touch and some pale malts. Citrus notes and a nice bitterness too. Lasting finish with a nice bitterness. A really tasteful and pleasant beer I’d like to have again. Several times. 131026

This is wonderful. Beautiful floral nose. Kind of like a triple with a lot of coriander and Pours golden with ok head and lacing. Light sweet malt finish and a good beer all around with great balance. On tap at Prohibition Pig.

Draft @ Three Penny Taproom. Tulip shows a slightly cloudy bright yellow color with slowly fading head. Nose is candy sugar, belgian yeast and a herbal note. Flavor is a very traditional take on the style. Sugar notes, pale malts, yeast and a light alcohol notes. 8.5 ABV gives a light warming after the sip. Awesome classic take.

From a 75 cl bottle shared at home. Pours a cloudy gold with a thick white head. Bready yeast aroma. Flavors of toffee, light caramel, a hint of banana. Effervescent mouthfeel, Crisp finish.

Bottle - Citrus, mango, passion fruit, peacj and light clove. Clear gold with a decent rich head. Apricot, some bitter and sour and of course a yeasty finish. Bitterness in there in the back, and stays there not overwhelming the beer. Finish is fruit, definitely a good beer.

75 cl bottle @ home
Aroma has soapy citrus, orange and hints of spices. Flavour has citrus, some soapy notes, apricot, grass and hints of spices. Palate is somewhat too high on CO2. Nice Belgian clone but a bit too boring after having so many of these. A cheap Duvel clone this is.
