The Lupulus Hibernatus is a dark strong beer. At the end of the boiling, the brewers add a pinch of cinnamon. The mix with torrefied barley brings this beer a powerful character. The After-taste is at the same time bitter-sweet, and finish on coffee aromas.

Bottle, shared at Palle, thanks Jonas. Late at night, in front of a fire, after a warm summer day. Dark. Licorice, cream, umami, salt, chocolate. Full body, dry. Nose translates into the taste. Sweet, deep.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with full head. Aromas of raisin bread, nutmeg, creamy coffee, a bit of Belgian yeast, and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with emphasis on bready malts and more, but not distracting Christmas spice. A tasty easy drinking Xmas beer. Very good.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, candi sugar, burnt sugars, and bready caramel. Flavour is full of burnt dark sugars, Belgian yeast, and burnt bready caramel. Burnt sugars, bready malt, and messy booze on the finish. Decent, but overrated.

Bottle on 712 heading South, thanks to Glenn, 26/02/23. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige head. Nose is earthy, dried fruits, spice, charr, ashen tones, herb, cocoa sprinkle. Taste comprises earthy roast, light spice, charr, dark malts, toffee, dried fruit esters, raisins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a kiss of alcohol. Okay drop.
