Blend of lambics aged on average 16 to 18 months and of Merlot grapes. Lambic can be rightly considered the missing link between the worlds of wine and beer, and Saint Lamvinus takes this one step further by adding grapes normally intended for wine production. Intense, fruity beer that lingers on the palate and has a clear connection to its winemaking origins.

0,75l bottle at Muted Horn. Bottled 22.11.2017. bourdeaux / purple cloudy color, small off white head. smells of spices, red wine notes, wood, peppery, grapes, very light joghurt. lovely smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, red wine notes, grapes, spices, lightly musty, bit citric, peppery. finishes dry and light to medium sour with notes of citrus, grass and grape notes. lovely 8, 4, 8, 4, 17

28.03.2020 0,75l bottle at home. Bottled 22.11.2017. redish / bourdeaux like hazy color, small white head. Smells of light grapes, earthy, cellar funk, some tannins after a bit, light berries, light joghurt, ligh radish notes. Once it warms up smell gets a lot more grape forward, notes of red peaches, light berry notes & light marzipan. Full bodied, good amount of carbonation. Tastes funky, light tannins, light joghurt, some light radish notes again, some spices and a bit peppery, subtle grape and berry notes.
Finishes dry with only a subtle sourness actually rather juicy, with light grape, peachy and some tannins. Subsequent pours were a lot darker in color. Smell was just lovely after it warmed up, very grape forward grape with light notes of tannins.
