Can. Pours a brown purple color with a small white head. A big sour fruity sawdust nose. Big sour berries, woody. Rich, sharp, good.

16oz can pours out dark brown with a little tan head. Nose is big sweet raspberry covered chocolate candy. Taste is more of the nice sweet jammy raspberry chocolate a little tartness.

Draft at Ascension. Pours a thick deep ruby to purple hue with a quickly dissipating finger of off-white foam. Big jammy nose with some wood and cacao nib as it warms. Full bodied, with a jammy mouthfeel. Loads of raspberry, plum, coriander and salt all on the palate. Lingering coriander and berry seed & skin. Great texture. A tad astringent on the finish.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours hazy nearly opaque dark brown/ruby red/purple color with a 1-2 finger fairly foamy and fluffy khaki head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, currant, red grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, cocoa, wheat, cracker, and toasted biscuit; with light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of raspberries, cocoa, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge sour/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, currant, red grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, cocoa, wheat, cracker, and toasted biscuit; with light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang; light roasted bitterness and spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, currant, red grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, cocoa, wheat, cracker, toasted biscuit, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast/roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, cocoa, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, acidic/tangy/tannic, fairly crisp, and lightly chalky/saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited imperial gose. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, cocoa, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and earthy to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic/salty. Amazing balance of super juicy/jammy raspberries, Lacto complexity, cocoa, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness from crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example. Not overwhelming on any aspect.

Can thanks to Sean! Pours a clear amber brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of tart raspberry with earthy chocolate and a bit of roast underlying. Flavor has an odd combination of sour raspberry and earthy chocolate with a bit of an acidic bite.
