N'ice CHOUFFE is the winter beer from the Achouffe Brewery. We recommend that you enjoy it from mid-October to mid-February, preferably by the fireplace. It is a dark beer, slightly hoppy, spiced with thyme and curaçao, and made using orange peel. It has an alcohol content of 10%. N’ice CHOUFFE goes well with any winter dishes.

Turns out I've never had this one before so I bought one at the local supermarket. Dark brown colour with a medium to large sized beige head. Smells herbs, sweet, liquorice. Tastes sweet, malty, some herbs and spices but not extreme. It's okay. Medium to full body, soft to medium carbonation. Edit: added some points because I finished it and there really isn't anything wrong with it.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy ruby/brown body with a short-lived beige head. Steady carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of toffee, burnt sugar and candy. Flavour of crème brûlée topping, maple syrup and flat Coca-Cola. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Light fizz. Very sweet - probably overly so.

750ml bottle. Clear, dark copper-ish, red-brown colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly vinous, fruity, malty and minimally spicy aroma, notes of blue grapes, cherry, plum, maybe a touch of thyme. Taste is sweet malty, fruity, minimally nutty and spicy, notes of plum, cherry, hints of blue grapes, a touch of soup cube spiciness, a dry, woody note in the finish; oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft palate.

Uit een flesje thuis, na een sneeuwwandeling. Goed bruin van kleur, mooi schuim. Prima winterbier, maar iets te zoet.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours black with very persistent whitish foam. Aroma is licorice, malty. Body is dense and sticky with moderate carbonation. Taste is intensely sweet, with limited bitterness. Finish is sweet but not particularly long.

Rocky beige head left flotsam on a still, rich looking dark brown body. Dark fruit, candied fruit, Christmas cake, brown sugar & spicy aroma. Medium to full bodied. Thick, chewy and very smooth on the palate with a very slight sharp finish. Dundee cake, spices, dark spirits, demerara and liquorice tastes with a fruity tangy finish.
