N'ice CHOUFFE is the winter beer from the Achouffe Brewery. We recommend that you enjoy it from mid-October to mid-February, preferably by the fireplace. It is a dark beer, slightly hoppy, spiced with thyme and curaçao, and made using orange peel. It has an alcohol content of 10%. N’ice CHOUFFE goes well with any winter dishes.

Sampled from tap at 'The Shakespeare'. Clear, dark ruby with a frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, yeasty-spicy and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, raisins, plums, coriander, orange peel and some clove. Very sweet, malty, rather spicy, yeasty and a bit fruity taste of caramel, coriander, orange peel, brown sugar, raisins and some chocolate, followed by a short, moderately bitter, rather spicy, yeasty and slightly dry finish. Medium to full body, creamy and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very pleasant despite its spiciness, nice winter ale!

Botte from Brewer's Droop, Bristol. Deep, ruddy brown in colour, with a short-lived, off-white, head and opaque clarity. Aroma of candy sugar, leafy hops, berry fruit and rich malts. Flavour was sweetish, with more fruits, a hint of spice and dried herbs, before a warming finish. A good winter beer.
