Old tasting, Jan 28 2015, nine years from now. 75 cl bottle shared at Más que cervezas, Madrid. A red ruby pour with copper-ish tinges and a thick, dense, long-lasting tan head. Aroma is over-ripen red berries, vanilla, a touch of metal. Mouthfeel is surprisingly mellow and silky, not boozy at all despite its 10% abv. Medium-lingering finish with new hints of strawberry and cherry.

Bottle at home, from HOTM online, 22/12/23. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a good sized lasting light beige head. Nose is dates, light winter cheer, stewed fruits, candied fruit rinds, caramel melt, herb. Taste comprises liquid fruit cake, herb, winter spice, figs, fruit loaf, toffee, light nutty tang, candied fruits. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol. Sips easy for the ABV, sweet edged but with balance, solid Xmas Bier.

Weather turned cold need some nice strong Belgians to warm me. Ruby brown pour and a puffy beige head. Nose is dark fruits and dark liquor. Tastes of figs, dates, rum, herbal, caramel. Medium bodied. Very pleasant.

Hazy mahagoni. Aroma is toffee bubblegum orange winter spices yeast. Taste is heavy dense toffee with bitter belgian yeast and lots of dried fruit with some rum. Complex also in the finish. Light booze but still easy going. Good stuff.
