Rubinbrunfärgad vätska med tunt skum. Mörkt bröd, mjuk kaffekaka och russin i doften. Mer fruktkaka och russin i smak matchat med en diskret och neutral beska. Mycket eldig. Lång eftersmak.

Bit disappointing. This brewery has been around for awhile; perhaps they could make this more interesting one day.

Flasche 0,33l: Kastanienbraun, dunkles Mahagoni, glasklar, kräftiger stabiler mittelporiger Schaum; süße + sehr würzige Nase, dunkle Fruchtigkeit, dunkle/eingelegte Früchte, Gewürze, Backpflaumen, Orangenschale, etwas Zimt, kräftig Malz, Malzzucker, Karamell, Hopfennoten, leichte Röstaromen, angenehme würzige Bitterkeit; frischer + kräftig würziger Körper, leichte dunkle Fruchtigkeit, dunkle/eingelegte Früchte, Gewürze, Thymian, Orangenschale, kräftig Malz, Getreide, Hefearomen, leichte fruchtige Säure, cremig, kräftige Kohlensäure; angenehmer fruchtig-würziger Nachgang

Deep dark brown coloured body with a super tall lighter brown head that is soapy, but stays afloat for a long time afterwards. Aroma of deep spices with the canella and ginger noticeable at first then showing a lot more sugars and pitted fruits, with a deep malt nose and some alcohol on the edges, too. Medium to Full-bodied; Deep and strong pitted fruits and super rich malt backbone dominate at first and then bring out the deep belgian yeast component, which makes things very complex, with banana and bubble gum esters along with some cloves and canella spice notes right behind. Aftertaste is very rich from the malt and the yeast, but showing a ton more flavours with a large complexity due to the spices and especially all the sugars in the mix - most notably the molasses and pitted fruits/raisins/fig notes that end very nicely and rich here. Overall, a very nice and complex beer that you'd expect from a super reputable belgian brewer, with some added spices and sugars that make this even richer and deeper in terms of the complexity and the overall sweetness. Great to have during the season and while rich, quite amazing. I sampled this 75 cL bottle, purchased by one of my hockey teammates at Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia, after our hockey game on 18-December-2019 - Thanks Alex!

Bottle, thanks for the bottle Dave! Dark brown amber, haze, low tan lace. Nutty, minerally, light dead yeast, roast, light funk, medium body, sparkly, dry, could be chewier and a bit more moreish, toffee, light chocolate covered raisin, Orangepeel, . N'ice, well chuffed.

Bottle, dark brown with great head, drunk during Corona Zoom-ing. Nice roasty notes and syrup in the nose. Flavor is smooth, sweet but not overly so considering 10% alc. Molasses/brown sugar, mid complexity, light hops.
