Did we choose the name Elephant to honour the statues that guard our brewery gates, or because it's a beer you'll remember forever? Pale gold in colour, Elephant is rich in malty character, with a hint of caramel, balanced by a satisfyingly dry bitterness. Once enjoyed, never forgotten!

From 11.2 ounce bottle purchased as part of a mixed 6 pack at Clifton Market, Cincinnati, Ohio, tasted on November 16, 2024. Predominantly skunky nose (greem bottle), medium gold color, overbearing sweet but unmpleasant taste that's like a malt liquor on steriods. I couldn't finish it.

Another of those beers I believed I had sampled previously. Not so fast there young man, not the case. I have a 16.9 oz can that was obtained from the accommodating folks at Half Time alongside a snifter from a Ft. Worth brewery. The appearance is the normal beer look, shiny gold-yellow finished by a slowly declining top of solid white foam. I get a scent of grain, corn and cardboard. The taste follows the nose fairly closely, sweet corn, malt, white bread, metal and paper. Really pretty decent, better than most of the malt liquors I’ve had through the years that are similar in presentation and execution. A high octane Pilsner, not bad at all.

7.5% can on an ICE train in Aachen, Germany. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweet, malty aroma. Tastes vaguely hoppy, sweet, honey, malty, boozy. Can't believe I'm saying this but I rather liked it. Maybe because I was on holiday and travelling on an excellent ICE train in Germany. Certainly a cheap way to get hammered.
