Barista is a rich roasty coffee stout. A roasty yet creamy mouthfeel caries the subtle taste of Espresso coffee which we add in ground Arabica form at the end of the boil. This beer has the roast bitterness you’d expect from coffee but it also has a subtle sweetness in the finish, a real pick-me-up of a beer!

Bottle shared thanks to Jmgreenuk on an NS Hispeed tasting. Pours near black with a massive beige head. Aroma of big roast, dark chocolate and coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter, the coffee lingering long in the finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Cask, Pimlico, 06/12/13. Mid black with a moderate tan covering. Nose carries a good coffee blast, light roast, cocoa, toffee fudge. Taste comprises much the same but the depth falls away quite a bit from the excellent coffee laced nose. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, a little thin and watery. Decent enough stout but falls away somewhat after excellent first impressions in the appearance and on the nose.

(Keg at Black Door, 20131102) The beer poured clear and almost black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had coffee, grease and roasted malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were coffee, roasted malts, burnt malts, ash and bitterness. Afteraste had coffee, ash and bitterness. A beer with nice coffee flavour but the end result was still unbalanced.

Bottle [thanks to jmgreenuk] @ home. Black color, medium to full sized light brown head that leaves good lacing. Massive espresso aroma with roasted malts. Taste roasted malts, lots of espresso again, pretty bitter, lightly earthy. A bit thin texture though not at all bothering, medium body, medium carbonation. Nice beer!

Bottle from Dram Shop, Sheffied. Almost black, bubbly, beige head. Aroma is a little roast coffee, some earthiness, nothing really to raise any expectation. Just as well, really, because its all a bit thin and watery and "green" tasting. Thin, harshly metallic finish.

Draught at The Green Lion Inn, Malmö
Black color; creamy beige head. Nice coffee aroma, peppery, interesting. Dry mouthfeel, lean; coffee flavor, bitter, burnt.
It has some good coffee impression, but overall it’s a bit too ashy for me.
