Barista is a rich roasty coffee stout. A roasty yet creamy mouthfeel caries the subtle taste of Espresso coffee which we add in ground Arabica form at the end of the boil. This beer has the roast bitterness you’d expect from coffee but it also has a subtle sweetness in the finish, a real pick-me-up of a beer!

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 30.09.2013
Aroma has espresso, some licorice and jalopeno‐like vegetables typical to coffee beers. Flavour has coffee, somewhat salty licorice and some chocolate. Finishes with harsh bitterness and some rubbery notes, which ruin the show quite completely. And they get even worse towards the end of the bottle.

33cl bottle, BB 30/9/13. Black color, thick brown head. Strong coffee aroma, ashy, roasted, very intense. Taste has coffee, ash and coffee again, slightly sour towards finish. Finish is very dry with espresso-like notes lingering forever. Light bodied.

Keg at Tap East in Stratford, shared with Finn. A few spots to the glassware. Deep, dark-brown body. Smell of coffee grounds. Flavour of coffee added by a little tartness. Nice coffee bitterness to the finish. Crispy on the swallow. Likable (London, 03.11.2012).
