Imperial Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels with Hazelnuts Added
Grey Monday is a small batch brew, built on the backbone of our infamous Black Tuesday imperial stout. Aged in barrels with ridiculous amounts of hazelnuts, this beer was originally crafted for a molecular gastronomy dinner at a favorite local restaurant. This treament of our already popular stout was an instant hit both among the restaurant diners and our own staff, begging to be brewed again and bottled up.

Bottle shared at our Novi share. Thanks superspak! Pours a pitch black with a quickly dissipating half finger of brown foam. Big bourbon focused nose with cacao nib, roasted coffee and chocolate malt aromas. Toasted hazelnut Frangelico notes as it warms. Boozy on the palate with lots of bourbon heat and chocolate. As the alcohol fades the hazelnut lingers. A beast of a beer.
