Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this German lager is brewed in the zwickelbier style. Features clean Pilsner malt notes, floral and lightly spicy hop character and a crisp, lager finish. One of the cornerstones of our lineup.

Bottle from 8 Degrees Plato. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates quickly. Bready malt aromas with a touch of lemon, fresh grain and yeast notes. Leafy bitterness, fresh straw / hay notes. Quite bitter, almost astringent bitterness that lingers. Naturally carbonated, so ends up being a bit under-carbonated. Needs a bit more carbonation, but overall a fun zwickel from a newer brewery. Glad to see these styles being tried in Michigan.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a copper hue with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has grass and a hint of onion with straw and biscuit backing. Flavor has lots of grains and grass with biscuit and straw underlying.
