IPA 11 is all about balance. We took Idaho 7 hops, bursting with big tropical fruit notes, and paired it with a favourite: good ol’ citrusy Mosaic. Next we added lactose to balance out all those big hop flavours and give this super flavourful Double Dry-Hopped IPA a silky smooth mouthfeel.

Slight haze. Thin head. Hops show a bit of guava, grapefruit, soft body, low bitterness, and a solid citrusy hop note.

Can that is not the freshest: pours haze with white head. Aroma is citrus, some herbiness. Taste is a bit spicy, lightly bitter, tangy citrus. Pretty smooth body. Solid enough... probably would have been better fresher.

Can: Poured a slightly hazy bright yellow color ale with a medium size white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of juicy citrusy hops notes with light residual sugar notes also perceptible. Taste is also dominated by juicy citrusy hops notes with light lactose notes with no discernible bitterness. Body is a bit lighter than other lactose based IPA with medium carbonation. Solid IPA without being too heavy like other NEIPA.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 9/17/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, biscuit, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, lactose, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, biscuit, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, biscuit, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, lactose, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.8%. Overall this is an awesome milkshake IPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, lactose, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; awesome soft/silky feel for the ABV. Awesome Mosaic, Idaho 7 profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced lactose and wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example as expected.

Can from High Point, Vancouver; packaged 13 Sept 2019
Cloudy golden colour. The aroma is sweet, candies, stone fruit. Moderately sweet, lean body, touch of malts, cream of oats, moderate bitterness, with some stone fruit and some orange juice.
It seems a bit oxidized, given the young age, probably it's just an odd can.

Hazy golden colour with an orange hue. Off-white soapy head, good stay and a foamy ring is left. Grassy green hop aromas balanced with lots of fruitiness and sweetness, including pineapples and other tropical fruits. The taste is also blended with some grassiness and the fruits. The lactose is mild in there. Reminds me of Brasserie du Bas-Canada milkshake IPAs. Just not as good.
