Brewed to pair yeast notes with hoppy ones. Sorachi Ace, used in dry hopping this beer, gives herbal and sherbet-y aromas to brighten the subtle bready malt qualities. Saison yeast gives orange peel and dried fruit aroma, with dry lingering finish.

Bottle from de Molen Beershop, batch 0196 dated May 15 BB May 16, large sample. Almost clear deep golden color, big rocky head. Aroma has pineapple, citrus, peppery yeast, flowery notes, touch of funk and bubblegum. Dry in taste, citrussy bitterness, slight fruity sour touch. Good stuff.

Keg at the tap takeover Brewdog Camden. Translucent deep golden coloured pour with a nice lasting frothy white head. Aroma is big saison yeast, funky, sorachi, orange rind and coconut. Some dough on the nose. Flavour is composed of crisp bready, doughy grains, sorachi funk, lemon, drying in the finish. Good saison rustic character,. Firm hop bitterness with good valance. Palate is highly carbonated with a dry finish. Ticks all the boxes of a classic saison with a good modern hop kick.

Bottle from Vino Wines. Bright, hazy orange body with a thick off-white head. Lively carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma of sea salt, tangerine and lemon sherbet. Flavour of lime, Lucozade, straw and underripe pear. Medium body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. A super-hopped Saison. This is great, but more pronounced yeast and spice characteristics could make it even greater. This might age well.
