Bottle from Willems. Black with a huge light brown head. Aroma is dry, roasted malt, hard roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted rather bitter finish. Oily. 200315

Bottled at Babajan, Stockholm. Very dark brown minimal head. Chocolaty nose with some aniseed and marzipan. Sweet with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Marzipan, chocolate and pears. Mid bitter finish.

Bottle, at Bøker & Børst. A huge beige head forms over a dark brown body. The aroma is roasted, with some chocolate, licorice notes and a sweetish touch. It’s semi-dry and heavily carbonated, with flavors of licorice, roasted malts and some chocolate. A sweetish touch too. Lasting roasted, sweetish flavor with chocolate and licorice. Overall, way too carbonated, but it’s a flavorful beer that I wouldn’t mind repeating. 141031

Bottle bought in Brussels in October 2014. Black with a large thick tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, caramel, some licorice and light roasted malt. Similar taste, also some tobacco. The finish was bitter and rather dry.

The first contact with White Pony’s beer was almost a disaster, a third of the bottle pours into the table and floor. In the glass there is black beer with a huge and beige head. The nose has lots of black coffee and roastiness, almost as burned, sourness, liquirice and chocolate. Taste has balanced roastiness, salt liquirice, coffee in the end. Medium+ bodied, medium carbonation. Quite nice, slightly sour Imperial porter, almost too much of roastiness.

No prawdziwa bomba. Zaczne od nalewania piwa. Wystrzelilo wnet piwo z szyjki silnie nagazowane, piana sama rosnie w oczach, ciemno szara i brazowawa. czarna barwa niesamowity aromat lukrecji gozkiej czekolady, czarnej kawy i rumu. W smaku podobne wrazenia. Slodkosc i alkoholowe cieplo. Palony pozostaje posmak w ustach na dlugi czas. Alkohol jest moze ciut za bardzo wyczuwalny, ale fajnie pszypomina rum.

Flavor is sweet, dark malt, roasted coffee, dry fruit, hint of sweet liquorice, medium bitterness. Nice body and good in aftertaste. A nice, tasty and pleasant, balanced sweet porter.
