Tap at Lemmys, Leiden. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy off white head and some broken lace. The aroma is sweet red berry fruit with a little yeast and malt. The flavour is medium bitter light sweet with a yeasty alcoholic liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Tap @ Ledig Erf, medium sample. Dark brown color, medium frothy brown head. Aroma of spices, candy sugar, some banana (candy), chocolate, coffee, bit of red fruit, autumn leaves. Bit bitter in taste, bit sweet. Sirupy texture. Pretty sweet maybe, and quite spicy, but the balance between the flavors is good. I enjoyed it.

Bottle @ Benzai. Dark brown colour with a slightly ruby glow shining through and a minimal sized beige head. Smells speculaas, pepernoten, gingerbread, brown sugar, sweet, slightly roasty. Tastes sweet, pepernoten, caramel, toffee, slightly roasty, some coffee, raisins and a hint of wood. It’s a bit too sweet for me. Medium to full body, soft carbo.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Dark brown color with a deep dark red glare coming through, small beige head. Smell malts, sweetness, lightly herbs. Taste malts, brown sugar, slightly roasty, lightly dark fruits like black currant, lightly herbs. Lightly bitter finish, quite oily texture, medium to good body, medium carbonation. Quite well brewed.
