Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured an opaque dark brown colour with a huge frothy medium tan head. The aroma is dry roasted malt with a hint of creamy milk and some smoky notes. The flavour is medium bitter with a smoky dry spice pepper slightly watery palate and a short bitter finish. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

27th April 2013
Opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Palate is light and dry and a little crisp. Light dry dark malts, no real roast or bitterness. Unsweet bubblegum esters. Mild minerals and a little lactose. Finishes dry with a touch of citrus and mild dark fruits. Okay but too dry.

Draft at London Fields Brewery in Hackney, London on 13 July 2013. Poured a dark ruby, close to black with tan head. Malty, slightly sweet aroma with hints of dark chocolate and a little coffee. Dried, dark fruits lead to a roasty bitter finish.
