500ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with small to average, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Dark malty aroma with unspecific fruity touch, very cautious hints of smoke, leather and oak, feels like BA for just some hours. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty, fruity hints of dark berries, a cautious nuttily touch, chocolate. Somewhat restrained, undeveloped, potential not act.

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 24 Apr 2013) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate and dark fruit. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, chocolate, raisins, prunes and a generous roasty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made porter. Very nice.

Bottle at my Pre-CBC Tune-Up Tasting, thanks to jackl. It pours very dark brown, with a thin, light tan head. The nose is roasted malt, caramel, meat and charcoal. The taste is caramel, roasted malt, slight tangy, bitter chocolate, wood and tree bark, with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A decent, easy drinking porter.
