Pod Pack, a collaboration between local island breweries with the objective of helping to preserve our coastal wildlife. The tall can mix pack is in support of the Pacific Salmon Foundation and one dollar from every Pod Pack will be donated to preserving Wild B.C. Salmon stocks, a vital food source for our southern resident killer whales. The name of each individual brew is the namesake of one of our southern resident killer whales.

473ml can. Pours a hazy copper-amber with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Mild, sweet aroma of bready caramel malt, blood orange, grapefruit and floral hops. Sweet flavour of bready caramel malt, grapefruit, blood orange, pine resin and floral hops in a dry, bitter finish. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and average carbonation. Malt forward and a little muted. Probably would have been a lot better if I had this fresh. As is, just ok.

The date stamped at the botto is not readable, but apparently this is quite old. It pours a dull and cloudy amber colour with small head. Old style, malty, stale, with strong bitterness but little hop quality.

Smells of muddy caramel with vague hops, has a soft copper with a hint of foam on top. Flavour is heavy cardamom and chewy caramel with some more hops. Mouthfeel is dry and full. This is overbearing but might work for some.
