Multnomah County Stout

16oz can pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is roast malts some coffee dark chocolate and bourbon barrel. Taste is more of the nice chocolate roast malts coffee bourbon barrel.

Black colour with not much head. For the current trend it's on the thin side, but it's balanced, with nice chocolate and roasted malt flavour, alcohol kick.
Good.

Tall can from at Farees'. Appearance: almost black with a dark beige head. Aroma: some inky and roasted malt with fruity notes. Taste: along the same lines with bourbon notes and some grassy notes. Overall: ok.

Dark cocoa and some barrel notes. Deep jet black brown with a decent brown head. Coca and light barrel notes with some roast. A bit simple.

Bottle poured. Picked up at Beer Mongers on the day of the release. Much anticipation to try this one. Jet black pour, tan fizzing head. Aroma is a balsamic like constant, and a bit offputting. Strange. Flavor is balsamic as well, but not quite as intense as so in the aroma. Salted caramel like flavor to it once it starts to warm up. Some toasty chocolate malts, but even when it warms, still too much vinegar. Yikes. Not very pleasant of a stout for me. File under the retry folder. Couldn't get on board with this.
