Clear, amber and dry, this modern example of an American-style IPA bursts with tangerine, lemon and a resinous grapefruit character overlaid upon a tasty base of Alberta malts. Amarillo, Lemondrop and Mosaic hops are generously added late in the boil and throughout several massive dry-hop steps. In spite of the intense hop character, bitterness is balanced to allow the underlying malt flavour to shine through in this dry-finishing beer.

473ml can. Pours a clear amber with a large, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves thick, soapy curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of bready caramel malt, spicy rye, lemon, orange and floral hops. Sweet flavour of bready caramel malt, spicy rye, grapefruit, orange and herbal hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Malt forward, but still tasty.

On tap at Prairie Dog, pours a clear bronze with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of bitter piney hops, some herbal notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with oily piney hops, some resins, and caramel biscuity malt. Oily and hoppy. Decent.

Sweet caramel malts. Clear gold with a decent beige head. Bitter and sweet with a weird fruity finish.
