27/IX/14 - on tap @ Borefts 2014 (Bodegraven) - BB: n/a (2014-1146) Thanks to Benzai, fonefan and cgarvieuk for sharing today's beers!
Clear dark brown to reddish beer, small aery unstable, beige head, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit sourish, sweet, caramel, alcohol, little roast. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: fuck your taste buds, we're just burning them off with this brew. Ok then... How serious is this thing, actually?

Bottle from Biernavigatie, BB Apr 2015, large (if I can manage it) sample, served in a snifter. Dark brown color, large frothy brown head. Aroma of chocolate, mocha, coffee, roasted malts, slight pepper. Soft sweet taste, chocolate, slight bitter, and then the spicy pepper kicks in. The amount of sweetness does back it up decently though. Finish is tickling spicyness. Its a bit too spicy for the base beer, but it can hold itself just. For a spiced up porter, it aint even that bad. Can I handle a full glass? Not really, but I am combining it with Chinese food and it fits quite well. Seems I will be able to finish it. Good job.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 04/2015
Odd aroma with licorice and pepper. Also some cocoa and plastic tones. Flavour has rather strong and aggressive peppery tones and chili. Also some licorice and cocoa in the background. Finishes with burning and warming chili. Quite nice actually once the first shock is over. Might take a while to finish a whole bottle though.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours black, nose is light cardboard, toffee, sweet, taste is sweet chocolate, thin, chilli spice starts off soft but fairly hits you the more you drink.

Bottle thanks to someone at Cgarvie. It pours near black with a small beige head. The nose is rich, roasty, cocoa, earth, spice, chilli and dark chocolate. The taste is rich, roasty, hot chilli, acidic, more heat, vegetal, toast and cocoa with a spicy, acidic finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. So-so, pretty spic and one dimensional. Spicy.com

33cl bottle, thanks MrHangover! Black color, brown head. Roasted malt, chocolate, oatmeal aroma. Flavor has coffee, roastedness,.. And then the burn hits you. But its quite gentle and pleasant. Feels quite thin actually. Nice chili beer.

Dark brown with medium mocca colored head. Roasted malts, coffee, powdered cocoa, light sweet grainy touch. Then followed by a hot pepper burn that lastst quite long all the way into the finish which is just heat and nothing else. Medium bodied, nice carbonation and slightly creamy feel. Pretty decent, too bad you don’t really taste the peppers but just get some heat. Also not sure if I actually like this in my beer or not, but would drink a version with a bit more pepper taste. Also this might be a bit too hot for people who don’t regularly eat spicy food.
