Draught @ Bier-Bier. Aroma has funky yeasty tones and citrus. Flavour is somewhat musty with spices, some floury tones and fruits. Some grassy notes occur after some sips. A bit disappointing.

Bottle. Nose is yeast, spice, lots of pepper, straw; vegetables; inviting. Taste is yeast, soft summer fruit and funk, spice, pepper, orange, dry herbal/floral hop note in the finish. It’s too carbonate and it’s a touch thin. It’s nice to see a saison done at a traditional lower strength, and I have very much enjoyed this.

Noe tåkete gulbrun med høyt beige skum som forsvinner fort. Lukter melon, epler og fersken. Bittersyrlig smak med god fruktsødme i bakgrunnen. Medium lang syrligbitter avslutning.

Bottle. A lightly hazy one, golden in color and with a dense, off-white head of moderate size. There’s some boozy hints in the aroma, with notes of cooked vegetables and yeast. Fruits and some pale malts. It’s full-bodied and softly carbonated, rather sweetish on the palate. Fruityness, apricots, canned tropical fruits, and some white sugar notes in the flavor. Lasting finish with a decent bitterness. Sort of uninteresting this one, but far, far from bad. 150513

Bottle from Mitsuya’s Liquors. Poured into a tulip. Hazy deep golden color with a small quickly dissipating head. Nose is all barnyard, cardamom, yeast, and citrus. Medium body. Slightly tart on the palate with fruit (pear) and pepper present. Rich and smooth mouthfeel with a nice dry and crisp finish. Great saison. --- Beer merged from original tick of Birra Farmhouse Ale on 10 May 2015 at 10:55 - Score: 7

Draft pour at Bottleworks. Pours a bright, glowing golden color with a patchy fizz head. Pretty standard good saison here. High carb and medium spice up front with a sweeter lemon finish. Very tasty and refreshing. Nice saison.
