Export version. The Fuller's Indian Pale Ale is audacious as it contains a grand quantity of "Goldings" hops. Its colour is intensely golden and offers earthy and sweet scents. In palate, strong bitter hop notes mixed with fresh and spicy notes.

From old tasting notes. Brilliant amber orange color. Big rocky beige head. Fragrant spicy hop aroma. Pleasant toasted malt flavor hints at butterscotch and toasted nuts. Smooth and drinkable with a floral hop finish.

Bottled on March 2, 2017. Part of a blind tasting.A bit surprised I had not rated this before, had it plenty of times, but apparently always thought I had rated it and never bothered to rerate.Hazy golden color, white head. Mainly red but also some yellow apples, sweet, fruity scent. Low bitterness. Red apples, sweet taste. Lacks balance due to no hop character and very mild maly. A bit too fruity.

0,5 l bottle. Pours clear golden amber with a finger of frothy off white head. Good head retention, some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of biscuit and crystal malt, earthy and grassy hop notes in the background. It’s light sweet and medium bitter. Medium body, slick texture and quite lively carbonation. I would hope for a bit more hop character, but it’s drinkable.

Clear, deep gold to copper colored, medium white frothy head, nice lacing. Aroma is of malt, biscuit, light caramel, citrus lemony and herbal, light grassy notes. Taste is medium sweet malt and biscuit, bit caramel, moderate lemony-orange citrus, bit fruity and grassy hoppy notes, medium bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. Not as hoppy as American IPAs but a proper Englishman!

On tap (from keg) at Ox Row Inn. Cloudy pale copper with a decent head. Perhaps I am too used to New World IPAs, but for me this is all malts and not enough hops. It’s OK, just a different interpretation of the style.

Keg @ Old Bank Of England, Fleet Street, London. Deeper clear golden with a small creamy head. Crisp tasting with s mild dry IPA character including some, but not much fruitiness behind a slightly more dominant hoppiness. There’s a dry sweetness too.
