Export version. The Fuller's Indian Pale Ale is audacious as it contains a grand quantity of "Goldings" hops. Its colour is intensely golden and offers earthy and sweet scents. In palate, strong bitter hop notes mixed with fresh and spicy notes.

500ml bottle. Deep orange-gold amber with a foamy white head leaving alittle lacing. Aroma of malt, toffee, tangy citric hop. Flavour is malty, fruity citrus, orange rind, with spicy hop and lingering bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry earthy bitter at the finish. Quite OK.

Bottleshare at Lancaster Gate. Thanks to Leighton. Lightly hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Light semi dry palate. Reasonable fine carbonation.Thin malts - vague lager vibe here. Smooth floralness. Just a whisper of citric hop. Light dry finish. Somewhere between a lager and a bitter and nowhere near an IPA.

Bottle shared in London - picked up in Bulgaria. Pours an attractive gold, clear, with a frothy, white head. The nose has pale bread, light grains, lemon rind, tangerine. Light-medium sweet flavor with more restrained citrusy hops, pale and lightly grainy bread, hay. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, with some tangerine meringue, more pale bread, mild bitterness. Drinks pretty good.

Bottle, 500 ml from Pivoljub, Ljubljana. Pours orange with small to medium off-white head. Sweetish, grassy, hint of fruit, caramel malts. some bitterness in the finish. Not what one would expect from modern IPA, but I guess that’s EIPA for you.

Bottle at home, 19/03/16. Clear golden with a well appointed egg shell white head. Nose is malt forward, grain, straw, faint metallic notes, caramel. Taste improves on the nose comprising caramel, earthy hop, orange peel, straw, biscuit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Ok but nothing I’d revisit.

Keg as Fullers IPA at the Spread Eagle, Croydon. It pours clear copper with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, bitter - sweet, sweet lemon, light grapefruit, toffee, biscuit and bread. The taste is crisp, bitter - sweet, biscuit, caramel, lemon parfait, citrus peel, cereal, light spice and grass with a firmly dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. The aroma is actually quite nice, but the taste is a touch bland. Not bad overall and certainly pretty drinkable.
