Can from Denman LRS, Vancouver
Black colour. Very nice bready, deep malts; moderately sweet, chocolate.
This is well balanced, and well done.

473mL can, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt, dry cocoa, and medium hops. Flavour is robust, with medium roasted malt, dry cocoa, and a touch of espresso. Roasted and dry chocolatey finish, with a gentle bitter finish. Excellent.

Tall can shared with Ilya in Tofino. Shared on the beach on July 8th. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head (as I could judge while Ilya was pouring it into his mouth from the 5cm height, lol) Aroma: roasted malt, inky, hops. Taste: similar, quite silky, moderate sweetness. Overall: pretty good, classic Imperial Stout.

Can found in the west end... they sure do like you to play Pokemon with their beers at all the indy liquor stores in town. This pours a deep black brown with a very dark brown head, solid, lasting, impressive. Smells strongly of barley and licorice and motor oil from a 1983 Camaro, the last best year, also some dirt from the driveway where you drove it in and you thought you would taste it just because. Flavour is deep musty chocolate, leather, chewy malted bran. Full on the mouth. This is very nice, very impressive, the alcohol is extremely well hidden. I'll be hunting down more of their beers, I'm always happy when a local brewer is chasing quality over quantity (which seems to often be rare).

Dark chocolate, roast and toast. Jet black with a rich light brown head. Sweet. bitter and roasty with a bit of booze. Big bold and pretty solid for what it is.
