Aromas are dark malt, raisins, dates and a bit of molasses. Flavors are similar to nose, adding in some roast cocoa, coffee and bitter. Okay body and carbonation. Almost no sign of alcohol until the very end. Decent but not great.

I have a 12 oz bottle bought from Half Time. The glass for the pour is a Great Heights snifter I got many years ago. I see an impenetrable dark brown liquid completed by a steady skim of taupe foam.Lifting the glass for a sniff there is grain, chocolate and something medicinal. The drink is an improvement but certainly not great. I taste malt, chocolate, bread, some hoppiness and a small berry presence. A little thin, I like an imperial stout to be substantial. The alcohol is undetectable, let us see how that plays out. An okay imperial stout, I liked the brewery's quadrupel somewhat more.

Bottle. Deep dark brown. This beer has an awful amount of fancy, "expensive" packaging for such an average tasting stout.

Bottle. Black, medium brown fine head. Mild sweet roasty nose. Extra sweet, chocolate malty, a bit of salty soy not quite balancing it. Tasty with Zabbaione desserts!

Boozy, rich, not the best for the style. But overall a very dry, bitter, probably coffee beaned beer. Hopcult dresden
