50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a redish glare and a lacing tan head. Roasted to hard roasted and slight acidic aroma. Light smoked initial flavour. Lingering caramel and slight chocolate malty flavour. Mild spiced and light acidic touch into the finish.

Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Powerfull malty roasted aroma. Moderate biter strong coffee notes. Very roasted. Oily palate. Too much coffee.

50cl bottle @ VinensVerden, Odense. Pours black with a creamy white head & lacings. Aroma & taste is roasted/burnt malts such as chocolate, coffee & some nuts & liquorice. Medium & smooth body. Very drinkable & truly a quality product!

From keg at The Dove Street Inn, Ipswich 4 May 08.Dark amber colored - almost black. No head. Rich aroma dominated by chocolate. Smooth. Complex flavor with coffee and chocolate in the foreground. Dry roasted aftertaste. Well rounded.

Half, served at the right drinking temperature at The Dove Street Inn, Ipswich. Deep palisander body with a thin, yellowish coloured head. Roasted, dark malty aroma. Firm roasted, almost burnt, dark chocolate in flavour with a welcoming bitter ending. Medium palate (04.05.2008).

On tap at the Brew Wharf in Southwark. Dark brown with a medium sized, lasting light brown head. Roast malt aroma with some perfume and floral notes. Dry flavour with some delicious charcoal notes, and a long burned aftertaste.

Draught as Meantime Single London Stout @ Greenwich Union, Greenwich, London SE10, UK. Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, nutty, chocolate, vanilla. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (301207)

Draught @ Greenwich Union, Greenwich. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Roasted malty aroma with hints of chocolate and vanilla. Roasted malty chocolate flavor. Roasted malty finish with hints of chocolate in the aftertaste.

Heardly any head, but what there was was beige. Deep dark red body. Dry smoky licorice aroma with hoppy notes and touches of chocolate. Dry chocolatey smokey malty taste. Dry chocolatey smoky aftertaste. Very nice! (0.5pt draft at Greenwich Union.)

Cask at Brew Wharf. -1/2pint
Deep ruby/red coloured, minimal brown head. Mild roasted malt, chicory, bitter coffee and milk chocolate taste with notes of vanilla and not so pleasant tart metallic finish.
