Ciney Blond is een fruitig bier met 7% alcohol. Opvallend is het toch wel bittere karakter van dit speciaalbier. Verder is opvallend dat wordt aangeraden dit bier toch vooral niet te warm te drinken.

One of the many Belgian blond beers. They are good enough to enjoy, but not very interesting.

Fra fat på A la Mort Subite, rett rundt hjørnet fra hotellet. 1.dag: Kitty tok denne og jeg tok en faro. Ciney blonde var også en smaksrik og inspirerende start på oppholdet, og det bar snart av gårde til nye ølopplevelser.

25 cl. bottle @ home. From a local Carrefour. No BBF. The “abbey” beer produced by Alken-Maes. Priced cheaper than other beers aiming for the same market @ supermarket – possibly / likely aiming @ that market. The cheaper price is negligible probably keeping in mind that this is a 25 cl. Bright, clear apple golden, lots of bubbles visible, head is like soap & almost instantly gone. Weird sweet citrus soap nose, metallic, chemicals, grass, light esters, light alcohol, nasty industrial fare. Sweet pale lager grains taste, bitter grass, citrus soap, metallic, white sugar alcohol burn in the back, lingering bitter hop extracts,… Huge carb. Wow this is industrial / imperial pilsner // pale lager territory. This is dreadful. Keeps burning in the throat. I cannot drink this.

Nice sweet belgian ale. Aroma of honey, vanilla, bread, citrus; clear golden with thinoily head. Taste is toffee and butterscotch, mothfeel leans towards the oil side. A very pleasant drink.

Bottle at Huppel The Pub, Den Haag. Poured a clear amber with a thin white frothy head and some broken lace. The flavour is hugely yeasty, sharp, medium bitter and very typically Belgian. It’s drinkable, but its that traditional style that I’m quickly growing out of.

alken maes as a brewer.. blonde abbay beer as a style... WHY did i buy this one ? well as a kamikaze-drink, this will do probably :p pours blonde, white foam, rather steady, big bubbles. typical belgian blonde ale scent, but only in very little amounts. taste .. carbo is actualy fine, taste is rather original.. suprising, even reminding that i had it before and did not hate it.. but still, better than expected :) sweet, very drinkable, some alcohol in it yet not to much. to me, this is a realy nice example of a belgian blonde abbay beer. the first two lines though, was my real thought when i opened my first of this ,about a year ago. had it a few times now, and still, this is not as bad as you think it should be :)

Bottle at Huppel. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of flour, apple, citrus and grass. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

@Antwerpen Amber blond met een medium witte kop Aroma van kandijsuiker, fruit, zoete mout, zwakke honing en licht kruiden Smaak is bloemig en kruidig met een kandijsuiker en zoete mout mix aan. Body medium van specerijen. Afdronk licht bitterheid, kruiden, bloemrijke, gistachtige, minimale zoetheid. in vergelijking met blonde bieren- pilsen is dit wel één van de betere
