Iceland! Land of volcanoes, Puffins, and ... peaches? Plans for this tropically hopped kettle sour were hatched in 2016 at the Annual Icelandic Beer Festival at KEX Hostel in Reykjavik. After forging a friendship over a hot brew kettle in Iceland, Steinn and Hrafnkell journeyed to Surly over Darkness Day and together we brewed a beer to keep us company through the long winter nights in both Minnesota and Iceland. Cheers to our friends, we hope to see you again soon. Hopefully next time we'll see the Northern Lights! Kettle sour brewed with peaches and dry-hopped with Enigma.

Old - Apple and light funk. Clear gold with almost no head. Lightsoured green apple and a mellow finish. Subtle and not great.

Pours a dirty, banana-yellow, with mid-sized, frothy, lasting head. Aroma has some fruit, some wild yeast. Flavor is more Brett-influenced than fully sour. There's a touch of slight sourness, with some fruit and some hop bitterness. It's an interesting beer, though maybe could use a bit more work?
